garlin , do you know if this method has been updated since the new Start Menu was introduced?
I'm still using it and it works on an offline installed image that still has the old Start Menu. But after installing the updates and creating a new user account, this method doesn't seem to work anymore...
I found a few people on Reddit (
link) having the exact same issue. The solution they're using over there seems to involve a settings.dat file, but I don't really understand how it works or whether it's compatible with the registry editing method we're using here.
If you know of a way to update this registry method, I'd really appreciate it.
Right now it's not a big issue for me since I install the image offline and only need it to work for the first user who signs in, so it still behaves as expected. But once Microsoft starts releasing ISOs with this update already included, I think this method will become obsolete.
