Please forgive me if this question has already been answered but I couldn't find the answer.

Most of the changes I want to do in NTLite are common to each machine I want to create an ISO for. Like removing items, setting options etc. It is only the machine specific information that is different. Like the License code etc.

What is the best way of dealing with this using NTLite?

Can I create a generice ISO and then load that into NTLite to create the machine specific ISO's or does this not work? Or is there a better way?

I have no experience in using NTLite so sorry if this question is stupid/basic.

Hi,

you can create a common ISO (Image edit), then right-click on it and choose New edit to branch out.
Rename that edit for clarity before loading it. Later optionally right-click on it and Revert to go back to the source image state (undoes any changes, for a retry, change of mind etc).
Also leverage Presets, you can store specific settings for each machine and load at will.

If only computer name and product key differ, I would make one image for both and:
set computer name to [prompt] during install, choose it in the dropdown.
And don't set product key, Windows pulls it automatically if machine was activated once it gets online.

For anything more complex than unattended differences, branch out with New edit as described above and/or presets.

You can also script NTLite, more info here: https://ntlite.com/docs/cli/
