I dont know who is licensed or not unless they say "free mode" etc and i dont care, a forum user is a forum user and if i can answer a qquestion i will do as soon as i can and and a fair chunk of the time i do help when i know the answer or where an answer can be found. IF i could have helped i would have even if i just knew another topic that could help you.

You posted monday at 1.43 in the afternoon and its not even 48hrs ago. We are not the busiest forum around because we are product specific but i have posted stuff on other forums that took over a week to be approved and then i still didnt get an answer to my question. Yes it can be frustrating and my pet hate is seeing posts go unanswered so i do what i can, If you post a question and i know the answer i will answer it. :)

and why does ntlite use group policy to lock everything down? reg is more custimizable after setup.

1 Use the search/filter in NTLite, is quicker than posting in the forums
2 NTLite doesn't uses group policies, uses the registry and Windows detect it as a policy
3 You won't see any reg file in NTLite/image if reg changes are made with NTLite

wow entire forum works and helps each other in any time a day. and no one never even looks at my topics. should i open new account and buy ntlite from there? or should i just stop buying it if i can'T use it?

I agree to Clanger's post.

You can buy NTLite as many times as you want but you won't get an answer if nobody knows
By helping others we (the NTLite users) don't get paid and use our free time
If you paid once for NTLite, you can use it as long as you want but the added features after a year of your purchase will be locked
Still you could use new NTLite releases with fixes with the unlocked features added up to the end of the year of purchase.

This kind of changes are made in Configure - Settings page, use a new clean source and try again.

yes i thought the same since i don't erase any component. but as i told you. even in search there is nothing about telephone or phone. and as you can see my settings from preset and screenshot there is nothin close to a phone setting. i hope nuhi can solve it.

Highly probably its the "Let skype..." option, in second screenshot.

Less probably "Collect contacts..." option in first screenshot, at the bottom.

tried them with host refresh. that wasn't the problem. :/ and others are so irrevelant i don't even want to try them. maybe its a bug caused by ntlite i can't find it.

It makes my crazy that with so minimum changes still there is a broken component. if windows becoming so breakable like glass over time, why do we even try to customize it? i think in the future with new os we will be able to only use reg files to custimize the system after install.

Because we are obcessive about debloating a very over bloated operating system.

if windows becoming so breakable like glass over time

I managed to break a test w10 1607(clean untouched iso, no updates) with just a simple registry tweak that i use on w7 all the time.

In the couple of years i spent bareboning windows 7 64bit down to 1.16gb installed i never once broke setup or the already installed os, i test installed on my only pc to create 2 installations, my usual worksstation and a test install. and i never once broke either the test setup or screw up my work station partition, windows 10 would regularly break it by bricking the bootloader so i could boot into anything and when i managed to get a working bootloader every partition was checkdisked during the rescue.

W7 and 8.1 do not have new features every 6 months so developers like nuhi can get those stable so us users can. If ms are sending out bricked iso's then what chance do the rest of us have? 10 is way too breakable, 7 was a dream, i havnt tried much on 8.1 apart from a lite shrink and various registry tweaks but its responding very well.

If you are frustrated with 10 then give one of my lite presets a try. They are designed for new users and you only need to keep any needed languages keyboards and fonts and they shouldnt break anything. :)

i'm totally agree with you thats why i don't even try to erase components or deactivate things any more. even with licensed ntlite i just tweak some settings and don't mess with win10 that much. but still as u can see i have a problem about policy in phone app..

I know, i just dont know what else to suggest apart from going lite or using 7 or 8.1 which you may not be able to do due to hardware and driver restrictions. :( Ur use an older build and edition that doesnt have all those apps in. ;)
