Why didn't the image decrease in size?

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is on the 24H2 list of supported CPU's.

Your host is LTSC 2021, but you're trying to apply LTSC 2024 using a host refresh? I don't think that's supported, because host refresh is supposed to be the same Windows release and not an upgrade.

I don't want to update my Host OS, I want to update a mounted image!

I just did a new test, this time on another partition with Windows 11 installed.

The process went ahead, but there was still an error near the end.

I believe we're have a language barrier problem.
- If you are trying to update an offline image which is not installed locally on the system, why is Setup running? NTLite does not run Setup after processing an offline image.

- If you are trying to run a Host Refresh, it only applies to the host Windows system where NTLite is running. You can only reinstall a modified version of the same Windows release this way. It cannot be updated to a different release version using Host Refresh.

You may have misunderstood nuhi's comments. Removing the WinSxS components and backups will make a smaller Windows image, but after the system is installed, it cannot be updated by normal methods. Instead you must use Host Refresh on the installed system to update it.

This rule applies to the installed system. Not to the host Windows where you are preparing an image for another PC.
 
That's what I understood from nuhi's message, that I could do the process via host refresh, so that the removed components would make the image smaller, which doesn't happen when done using the normal method.

But, let's forget about that. Unfortunately, Windows 11 is a piece of crap, and it's not worth wasting time on.

I was just testing to help other people, because I don't want to use this system full of bugs.

I appreciate your attention.
