Hi All,

I’m very new to this. Will Windows Update reset and put back items that were removed every time it Updates? Also Where to get a ISO?

Thank you

Monthly or Preview Updates may contain random changes to components you already removed. Due to the Windows patching method, NTLite cannot filter the Update ahead of time and block the restored components.

You have two options after performing removals:
- Block WU from applying all future updates
- After every month's Updates are applied, run NTLite in "Remove reinstalls" mode to re-remove the same components. This step must be repeated every time Updates are installed.

MS allows you to download the official release ISO:
Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) [you must change your browser's User Agent to not Windows]

Older versions of the official ISO from:

UUP dump allows you to create non-official (but virtually identical) ISO's.

Thank you. Why would I need to change the browser to non Windows? I just downloaded the Windows 10 Disc Image on to my iPad Pro.

MS servers check your User Agent when browsing the Download Windows site.

If you're on Windows, they'll hide the ISO links and redirect you to the Media Creation Tool. While MCT does create a working ISO for you, as a normal side of effect of processing, your ISO ends up with a different checksum or hash value.

If you're trying to confirm ISO's based on a published checksum, then you need an old-school ISO (by direct download).

Thank you I already download it using my iPad Pro iOS 17.6. So it should be fine. Since it isn’t Windo. It’s an Apple Operating System. I can share it with windows laptop I am going to use to make the ntlite modified ISO.

May I ask what software to use to test Windows after I built the ISO? What Virtal program?

Your choice of VirtualBox or VMware, as long as you use the HW bypass settings. If you have an extra disk, set up dual-booting.

This HW bypass settings you mention. I’m using Win 10 Pro. Do I still need to use that?

Not with W10, it really doesn't care about your HW platform.
