Hi,
I'm running above Windows (downloaded directly from Microsoft) which was slendered with NTLite with the settings in attached file.-
A few days ago Windows downloaded 3 updates (1x .NET cumulative update, 1 software for removing malicious software 5.12?, and KB5044284) and installed them. I did a restart and all was fine until a few days later by accident I saw that the installation of KB5044284 failed. I restarted the installation several times but always it failed giving me the error code 0x80188306.
With "my friend" Google I found one hint only to overcome this problem: download the update from the Windows update catalog in 2 files, one KB5043080..... and one KB5044284.... As stated there I installed the KB5043080 first although this one should already have been part of the 26100.1742 build. Already this installation failed with the error code 0xc1900401. Nevertheless I tried to install the local KB5044284, but also failing with 0x80188306.
Does someone of you experienced guys have an idea what's going wrong? Is it a wrong setting in my settings-file?
Or is MS now blocking the updates for machines not fulfilling their requirements regarding TPM and secure boot. And - if so - is there a way to overcome this blocking?
It would really be great to get some help here!
Have a nice weekend!

In the meantime I found out how to activate TPM and Secure Boot in my BIOS, and I did it.
After that I tried again to install the KB5044284. And also again: the online installation and also the offline installation from a local file, both failed.

I now believe that there must be a wrong setting in my NTL preset causing this behavior. But which one???

Can one of you experts please have a look onto my preset file or even test it?

Thousand thanks in advance!

And have a nice Sunday!

Loading the updates fails for me too. It used to work. I get an Error 271 every time I try to download the updates.

This problem is solved now without having found out the reason.

I simply started from scratch using the provided presents privacy, games, and lite all together plus a few additional own settings.

Now Windows is installing the updates smoothly. But it is giving me another problem which I'm describing in a separate help request.

...using the provided presents privacy, games, and lite all together...
Those built-in preset templates are cumulative, meaning they contain everything in the one before it. The Lite preset is all you need in this scenario, since it contains everything that the Gaming and Privacy template already include. By trying to also merge or process additional presets it's just presenting more opportunity for bugs and operator error, for no gain at all.

me too still cannot create ntlite my new problem now is Signed drivers! Any tips?
