Im having an issue with a purchased version of NTLite where after extracting a fresh copy of Windows 10 1709 and changing JUST the accent colours within NTLite and re-building and testing on a virtual machine, the accent colours don't change, they stay default blue.

Anyone else having the same issue with accent colours on current version availble and the beta versions of NTLite?

Hi Andy,

is the setting "Show Accent on active title bars" Enabled ?
If yes, then please attach the preset that was used on a clean ISO to replicate the issue.

Thanks.

Hi Nuhi,

The setting was not enabled, i just wanted to change the accent colours from default blue to red for my example.

So i did 2 tests for you and attached the preset xml file to show exactly what i did. This has been tested in version: 1.5.0.6080 64-bit

Test 1:
- changed accent colour to Red
- show control panel icon on desktop

Installed Test 1 as VM, results:
- accent colours did not change, still showing default blue
- control panel icon is shown on desktop.

Test 2:
- changed accent colour to Red
- changed Show Accent on active title bars to "enabled"
- show control panel icon on desktop

Installed Test 2 as VM, results:
- accent colours did not change, still showing default blue
- accent colours shown on active title bars is shown, but showing default blue
- control panel icon is shown on desktop.

Anybody have any idea why this is not working, is it something I'm doing wrong or is it a software bug?

Hi Andy, sorry for the delay, still haven't gotten to this task, it's not forgotten, it's just the new RS4 support needs polishing, then this will be fixed before Monday release.

Many thanks Nuhi, appreciate your help! I will wait to hear back from you. Andrew

Fixed in 6105, Windows setup resets the value. So live editing is instant and works, but offline the value needs to be reapplied after logon.
So don't get discouraged by the blue at first.
Also added the accent color selection for the login/logout screen.
However start menu and tray coloring is not available yet, that one is on a more complex position, will see about adding it later.
Thanks.

Hi Nuhi,

Just got around to testing today and I can't seem to get it to work while creating an offline image.

I have installed into a VM again and the accent colours are default blue and so is the logon UI, however, when i open explorer, you can see the border around it is red, which was the colour i chose as the accent colour.

You said in your reply above that it needs to be reapplied after logon, is this something NTLite does automatically, like post-install, or do i need to re-apply this setting within windows control panel?

Any ideas?

Make sure the option to show accent on the active title bars is enabled.

As for logon UI and reapplying. After installing in a VM and logging to the user, wait a bit and there will be a brief prompt.
Then reboot, should be changed, to see the logon color then just sign off.

Let me know, worked here, but I agree it's not apparent from the first logon.
Live editing (C:\Windows), works directly without a reboot.

Hi Nuhi,

Sorry for the delay only had a chance to test this again.

Ok so I managed to get it to work by showing on active title bars, this is not what I wanted though. But can confirm it works when ticked and after a reboot.

The logon screen now shows the correct colour when set.

The areas that I needed to change is assent colour (excluding active title bars) and start menu/tray icons. Is this something that will be fixed in a release soon?

Start menu accent color is currently not available to be set, only the Active title bar and logon screen.
Reason is that MS split those locations in the registry. Not impossible, just requires an addition for which there is currently no time.
Will keep it on the active todo list. Thanks.
