Hi everyone.
I downloaded last Windows 11 iso today (24h2), loaded into ntlite then added KB5050009 (January 2025 cumulative update). I know that kb5043080 (cumulative update checkpoint, september 2024) must be present BEFORE proceeding;
Well, before integration of kb5050009 ntile told me that kb5043080 was "installed", so I added only kb5050009.
But now, after integration, kb5050009 is present, but kb5043080 status is "missing"... and I can't add it because it's present on "update tab" of ntlite, but status is not "installed", is "staged" (=it will be installe after?).
so the question is... this actual setup is fine or my iso will be screwed up?
eventually is there another way to proceed with this integration?

thank you

Hi,

you mean the NTLite's download update page shows it as missing?
That is fine, it's not downloaded, because it's already installed - will correct that to be more clear.

If KB5050009 was integrated without errors, and KB5043080 is staged, that is good.

Yes, I mean that is missing on NTLite's download update page but present as staged.
I agree that "missing" on download update page could be misleading, I think that to correct it would be a good idea.

thank you a lot Nuhi for your very fast response!!!

ok, so I loaded my iso in a virtual machine to test it.
so, when I first started windows update.... it asked me to download an install kb5050009 (apparently it wasn't installed in the system).
I did something wrong?

When you load the image in NTLite (install.wim) with the integrated updates, in the status bar, which version of Windows is indicated ?

version is 10.0.26100.2894
now in the "updates" tab kb5050009 status is "installed"
also, KB5043080 status is "staged"
if I try to add again KB5043080 ntlite tell me is already present, but if I add kb5050009 again, ntlite let me do it... (isn't that strange?)

Maybe NTLite does not detect the KB5050009 correctly
Otherwise the OS is up to date, it's all good

The re-applying of cumulative updates is sometimes necessary, like when changing Features states, so I allowed the user to do so.
Will see about adding a note below it, like "already integrated - reapply only if necessary".

ok, all clear.
only one question: if my windows version is the latest (10.0.26100.2894, checked not only in ntlite but also
in command prompt after installing windows in a virtual machine) why windows update still want to download and install kb5050009?
(everything else seems to work fine)
thanks as usual
