After using the GamerOS Windows 11.xml created by Chris Ttitus, I'm running into an issue where the install just states setup is starting and nothing happens waited over 40 minutes.

I'm having the same issue whenever I try and create a preset file as well.

Basically only want it to prompt for what partition to select to do the install and no other questions

Attached is the one Chris created , any Ideas what I'm missing

Chris Titus forked Txmmy's original GamerOS preset, which is hosted here. You should attach your copy (after removing any user passwords or license keys).

Your problem description doesn't make it clear if Setup isn't automated enough to start by itself, or Post-Setup never finishes because you're installing software without the correct silent install flags.

Not sure what the issue is , the install juts post the message "Setup is starting " , I attached the preset that were utilized

Hello all,

When attempting to use the attached preset file with the new ISO I created , the install seems to never actually start , it just post a Message stating "Setup is Starting".

I'm only expecting the install to ask what partition to install the image to as that will change with every install, so I did not select the disk option to have it auto select and format the partition

Any ideas what I'm missing , is there a simpler preset file for Windows 11 that only addresses the unattended startup.

Mod note: Merging duplicate question.

I don't really see anything wrong with the preset. For "Setup is Starting" hang problems, typical reasons include:
- Possible corrupt USB install media
- Missing required SATA or USB3 controller drivers

For a quick sanity check, repeat the process you used to make the USB drive -- except with a clean ISO. Does the problem repeat itself?

I tried installing your preset, it worked for me.

The only changes I made in Unattended mode:
- unchecked Copy to boot image (not required)
- cleared SkipMachineOOBE (shouldn't be used on W10/11)
- cleared SkipUserOOBE
- added Local User account (for automating install)
- added GPT disk layout (same)

Now my Virtual Machine doesn't need any special SATA or USB drivers, so I can't rule out anything like that on a physical PC.
