ARM ISO Modifications?

Greetings all!

I noted on the front page for this app that ARM support is in an alpha/preview stage. I will assume this audience is familiar with the ISO creation utility RUFUS. Does this functionality currently exist in NTLite, such as making changes such as a local-only account instead of a Microsoft account, disabling telemetry, etc? RUFUS only supports Intel ISOs, and cannot make those same modifications when creating an ARM ISO. If NTLite can do this, I am more than happy to subscribe and support the developer here, and would like to know how I obtain pre-release versions of this utility, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

what is currently limited is DISM-dependent actions like update integrations, those require ARM host which NTLite is still not supporting, but that might change in the comming months.
NTLite is free to test, so give it a try, updated the docs here with more info on the limitations.

For the record, Rufus like a number of other ISO install helpers doesn't actually "modify" the ISO. What it does is create a hidden unattended file which apply a set of reg changes and commands. Those reg changes are not unique to Rufus, and are available or documented in other projects and work equally as well on ARM64 platforms.

If you were to prepare an AMD64 ISO using Rufus, that same \sources\$OEM$ folder on the finished USB drive can be copied to an USB drive containing an ARM64 ISO.

Because NTLite is designed to apply direct changes (like registry edits) to the install image, it doesn't need to follow the unattended file approach.
