Media Player / Legacy Media Player

I see in the NTLite list it shows "media player" (in 1 or 2 places)
In windows 11 there is "Media Player Legacy" and "Media Player" ...
I use Media Player Legacy as i use that with Shark007 codec pack to watch any vid file type

so can i remove the NTLite listed media payers and be good to still use the Legacy version ?
 
Yes. Removing ZuneVideo app will leave legacy Windows Media Player as the primary app. Some apps & games will need WMP, since they use the older codecs.
 
i have never seen "ZuneVideo" in any of the listsim talking about "Media Player"
 
ZuneVideo is the default Media Player for W10 or 11. WMP is the legacy Media Player.
 
Zune is called Zune. WMP is Windows Media Player. What version of Windows are you using?
 
Windows 11 23H2 ISO - and there is NO Zune or WMP in any of the lists that i see there is only the 2 "Media Player" listings (see pictures of Prev. Post)
what is Windows Media Player Legacy called?????

WMP is the legacy Media Player
 
ok so the media player settings are for the new windows media player that im not even using so i can remove those also ...
