I never put audio(realtek) display drivers into an image because they are too damn big, display drivvers are updated regularly so your always prolly gonna be outdated. Chipset drivvers are small and dont change that often, they are ok to slipstream.
1gb bigger is acceptable and about right.
VLC, notepad++ and ccleaner can all run protable, add anything protable using the $OEM$ method.
Anything added post install is in the $OEM$ folder inside Sources.

Too damn long since I last used NTLite. Also, just missed the renew date too!. Anyways, I prefer to save time installing, so I save everything as inf files and update as needed leaving NTlite to do it's magic overnight or while I'm at work. Weekends are just when I experiment with it.

Regarding VLC and Notepad, I do like them running as installers, because of file assossiations and the like. CCleaner I like portable, but Defender keeps deleting it for some reason (and no, it's the free version, not cracked).

I have large gaps between when im able todo stuff, its amazing how damn quick i forget stuff and have to refresh my memry. :(

Just tried wsus offline. It takes ages to download stuff, it found 61 updates over and above the 8 monthly rollups installed and restarted without a hitch, well impressed. :)

I just had a busy last month, when the 7568 I mentioned broke on me. Dell support derped hard, and needed 6 tries to fix the issue. Of course, with so many hardware changes, I now need to reinstall windows, it is simply unusable (I can't even add/remove tiles from the start screen! How did that happened?!). Decided to redo my NTlite image... guess what happened?! M$ broke stuff!! What worked then, doesn't work now, and I need to redo my testing from the scratch!!

Still, it's a learning experience. And myabe I'll finally migrate to Win10 and have my Miracast enabled TV work.

No oem or hardware maker, either individually or part of a group has the balls to go up against ms.
If there wernt so bloody many "me too" linux distros ms would be shaking in their shoes.

Which is a shame. MS needs to learn to make what the users want, not what their half drunken, half stupid devs think is best (See windows 2000, ME, Vista, Windows 8 and the first attempts at windows 10).

Windows needs less crap, and more control from the user side. Most people hardly change their themes nowadays, for fear that customizing their PC a little bit might break something.

I use Windows since Win95. I've used DOS6.22. And I do NOT think windows 10 was an improvement. Heck, I don't think windows 8 was an improvement! Windows 7 needed some of its features as addons and upgrades, but otherwise it worked better than 10 can ever hope to.

We will be saying the same things next year then the next. MS dont give a damn now and they never will while there is zero competition.
In the meantime i will continue to slip ms a greasy finger whenever possible.

Well, that's why we ntlite them, right? To take the gold out of the crap at least in out machines.

On a different question, does anyone know what Autocad needs to run on NtLited windows? So far is the most glaring issue with anything I 'lite', aside from my last attempts at Miracast (Which to be fair, work elsewhere, just not on this TV).

I will continue to tweak and lite so long as me n nuhi aint pushing up daisies.

Create a test install with os of choice. Install autocad. Do live removals in groups of 4 components at a time. Keyboasrd languages fonts etc shouldnt break it. You'll soon see when it breaks. It will take time though. It might be a good idea to post in the autocad forum, see if there are any other Liters in there. It needs net4.6.

Repost your question in Questions and REports, dont expect an answer straight away, let it sit there for a while, months, see what happens.

Will do that testing as soon as my brother (he is the cad user in the family), comes back from his vacation. My money is on telemetry, it also shuts downs when block a few ports of the router.

Good luck :) Prolly anything in System and Networking will break it. Be careful with Drivers and Hardware Support.

You know, after seeing my Office grow nearly as large as my windows image, it got me thinking: Office support in NTLite?! That'd be awesome! Pity it isn't a thing.

It never was as far as i can remember, you needed another tool, siginet office integrator. Besides i think nuhi's got enough todo as it is.

WSUS Offline handles Office 2010 2013 and 2016. Not sure if siginets tool is still supported or what versions it handles.
I gave up on office yonks ago, use Open Office instead on occasion.

It is not supported. And excuse me, but I have to suffer libre office compatibility issues enough in my work place. Plus the whole system-wide issues and data losses. Not touching OpenOffice and LibreOffice with a ten foot pole.

...so very true.

Corel Office was good, but it isn't supported anymore. I wish I had purchased a couple copies when I had the chance.

Sods Law says if you had bought some copies then they would no longer work. Damned if you do and bugad if you dont.
