Pretty certain i could install my current w8.1 eol capture on my intel 12th gen inspiron laptop with acceptable caveats, no intel igpu driver, just the ms driver and it still works well as a digital audio source, foobar2000 --> topping d10s --> amp + speakers. Im not willing to try right now but i will give it a go soonish.

Technically you can install a modern CPU on even 98 if you wanted but unfortunately my computer needs a more modern OS just do to the facts of my programs and that's it.

My computer is a jack of all trades. Has to do home media,work,gaming, and may other things. If one of those things are missing then the os is useless to me
 
This is a very long shot here and completely unrelated but for a long time I have been looking for ddr3 3200 trident ram. Very rare but I love older ram and having fun with it.

I am wanting to build a computer parts (display) on my wall for when I retire my system I have loved this system and it has given me years of life on computing being used for over 10 years.

If anyone knows anyone that carries these sticks please let me know. I have looked everywhere but to no avail.

Says ddr3 then ddr4 below. It doesn't have the appearance of ddr3 as well. Pretty sure that is ddr4. Also the voltage is all off. Ddr3 sticks at that speed ran at 1.65v
